Lês-dorë Dêtîkè

Lês-dorë Dêtîkè (/ˈrëfi/ /ˈdorë/ [gentle] [silk]) is a subtropical Town located in the Mèrevaqêyê Zone of the Union of Engineers.

The name Lês-dorë Dêtîkè is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Lês-dorë Dêtîkè was founded by Hèsî Èlkèj, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

Lês-dorë Dêtîkè has a yearly average temperature of 27°C (80°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 29°C (84°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a warm 26°C (78°F). Lês-dorë Dêtîkè receives an average of 216 cm/y (85 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the spring. Lês-dorë Dêtîkè covers an area of nearly 4 km² (1 mi²), and an average elevation of 1514 m (4967 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Lês-dorë Dêtîkè was founded durring the late 14th century in fall of the year 1274, by Hèsî Èlkèj. The establishment of Lês-dorë Dêtîkè was somewhat plagued by a lack of willing colonists, leading to Hèsî Èlkèj electing to pay people to resettle in Lês-dorë Dêtîkè.

Lês-dorë Dêtîkè was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the late 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Lês-dorë Dêtîkè is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Lês-dorë Dêtîkè is buildings are arranged arrounded a highly ordered system of spacious gravel streets which form triangular paterns, allowing the incides of the octagons to be common grounds for the buildings on the edges, be it for parkland, yardspace, plazas, or markets. The town is the proud owner of a properly designed set of renforced walls made from mighty querried stone blocks. This all rests atop the unmistakable impression the town is one of the strictest places imaginable. Everyone’s actions are clearly directed by laws they keep in heart and mind at all times. Lês-dorë Dêtîkè has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Lês-dorë Dêtîkè's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Lês-dorë Dêtîkè has an Arcane Academy which provides higher education in the arcane sciences.

Lês-dorë Dêtîkè has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.

Lês-dorë Dêtîkè has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

Lês-dorë Dêtîkè's garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used which employed abundant symbolic geometry, using pure forms such as the circle and square, and plans are based on often symmetrical layouts featuring rectangular courtyards and halls. These structures were is decorated with carved stone or stucco reliefs and made use of colorful stone mosaics..

In Lês-dorë Dêtîkè there are unidentifiable people in the fog, but it seems to be okay.

The Aquatic Insect, Belostomatid near Lês-dorë Dêtîkè are known to be more aggressive than normal.

Lês-dorë Dêtîkè's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in winter and involves orgies to channel Illusion energies of tier 2 via guttural bellowing.
